Dr. Frank Richter
Dr. Richter holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU Trondheim/Norway). Since receiving his Ph.D., he became a member of the American Chemical Society and maintains an active membership to this day. In January 2024, Dr. Richter was appointed by the Board of Trustees of KMUTT as Adjunct Professional Fellow of the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE) in Bangkok/Thailand.
Before Dr. Richter gained his Ph.D. in chemistry, he came from the field of nanotechnology. He had no deep background in chemistry but was able to quickly understand the concepts by relating the concepts to his existing knowledge. This method of learning is the same way he structures his courses so you can learn advanced battery concepts the same way he did. Greenectra also collaborates with external experts to bring other perspectives to our courses. These experts are chosen based on their ability to simplify complex topics so you can fully understand the concept being explained.
Throughout Dr. Richter’s career, he conducted research in the Li-ion battery field that led to several publications including:
- Anomalous Voltage Change in Charge and Discharge Curves for Electrode Materials Showing Plateau-like Behavior”, ECS Transactions, 2014 vol. 62, issue 1, 57-65
- Measurements of ageing and thermal conductivity in Li-ion secondary batteries and their impact on internal temperature profiles”, Electrochimica Acta, Volume 250, 1 October 2017, Pages 228-237
- Thermal conductivity and internal temperature profiles of Li-ion secondary batteries”, Journal of Power Sources, Volume 359, 15 August 2017, Pages 592-600
